Novus Population

Hello everyone, I normally play as Hayashi for accs, and im a new player around here, and also always loved playing on low rates servers.

As a new player, I had to face the actual server problem: low population. Everyone here talks about it, but i didnt know where to say what i want, so I created a new thread.

This is my first private server, and for sure I love it, nice exp and easy money, not a problem at all to lvl up by myself, but still, when exp gets low and boring, we always ask for some help, but almost all the active players come from same place, dont remember exactly, but I always see ppl speaking tagalong, so theres a time that my race is completely desert, just some afkers...

I saw a post about wiping the server, and the basic idea of it is to bring closer newcomers and old ones, because ppl that come to play here now has almost no choice than to lvl up alone until 45~50, and it sucks so hard... of course, sometimes theres someone ready to help... What Im trying to say is for us to keep newcomers around, to make them feel at home. And u ask me how? Well, got some ideas, like speaking some kind of global language, because I gave up many servers (not RF, others mmorpgs) just because they always speak other language... and its part of the server rules to use english on race/all chats, as some might know =b. Other idea is try to help new ppl, I dont care if its with item, tanking, PL, advices, whatever, but as all of u know: u dont play here just because u have a lvl 55, but because of ur friends too... for Novus sake, theres no entertainment if theres noone around to play with, thats why ppl leave...

I know that many active players have a busy life, and when come up online, want to do some war at CW or PL, and I am the kinda of guy that can lvl up alone sometimes, but if my eyes start to close just to keep watching me hit the monster and no ppl to talk... dude I just go play somethin more exciting =b

Race leaders should know better how to deal with their own race... because they wont be able to win a battle with their +6 or +7 alone, btw, their whole archon team, as archons are very active at wars. Well anyway, we cant keep the same team forever, gotta welcome and prepare newcomers ^^

wipe would cause almost every1 who still plays here.. to leave.. (at least that would be my case.. im sure it'd be the same for many others).. and then.. getting new players could take more than the expected.. plus, no1 staying to start their chars from zero would just ruin the server.. definitely.

If you're in acc buddy Im sorry to say but people just cant speak english, there are a lot of cool guys but when i was online i was tired of telling people to stop speaking in phil/portuguese/dutch/german in the fu.cking race chat...

I agree, no one listens to that rule, well maybe their english sucks, thats why.

Helping newbies? thats someting Ive said before, its usefull to make them feel welcome, but also to get a stronger race, personally I help when i am asked, and even offer to help, but seems many of the noobs I see are someones altz, so they are not really noobz.

To get more ppl server must be attractive (events, customized drops, something what isn't on other servers and so on) and its have nothing to do with old ppl levels. People here write load of ideas about custom things in forums and how to make server better and all we got in answer was: call your friends. If we are lucky we see GM online in game once in few weeks xD Fury is only who can make custom things and implement them but he is too busy with real life. Alexa i think its myth and even don't exist anymore.

Yea, if they wipe the server, I wouldnt play here again, I just used it as example to talk about something. I would start play somewhere else because its a new place, different donations, exp/drop rates, so its more exciting, but at least for me, spend time on same server, with same rules and blablabla is freaking boring, I wouldnt play it again ^^.

I think english is not a problem to the server, at least for most of ppl, it doesnt matter if ur an expert on english, but at least understandable... my first language is not english, but I try ^^. The only thing is pointless is to come play in servers like this without knowing anything of english... I saw cases like that already...

For sure many ideas like events and that stuff will help, nowadays it feels like we are all alone without GMs onlines on game, but first we need support new ppl I guess. And lol yes, almost all the "newbies" are altz, I got 3 other accs chars for example ^^, just for boring times or when I feel like helping other players.

For old players, for sure some game changes would really help, but for new ppl its almost the same, because the serve would be new (or not, if we plan to get back old players) to new players anyway, so new drops or whatever is the same. In the end we need some God hands anyway, Novus waits for GMs return =b (no pressure dudes, we all have real lifes, but still, its ur server, and we are still here ^^)

More funny story: they are not active because tired of seeing GM and server owner doing nothing after 223 came. Changes what is done in few months here take max 2 weeks on servers with active GM team.
